2025 Youth Deer Day Hunt

Memories in the Making – 2025 Youth Deer Hunt Recap

There’s something special about crisp fall mornings, the smell of fresh earth, and the quiet anticipation of a deer hunt. But when you mix in a group of eager young hunters, patient mentors, and a supportive community—you get more than just a hunt. You get memories that last a lifetime.

This past weekend, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Youth Deer Hunt, and what an amazing experience it was.

Passing on the Tradition

For many of these kids, this was their first time stepping into the woods with a tag in their pocket and hope in their hearts. From learning to scout for sign to understanding deer behavior and the importance of ethical hunting, each youth had the opportunity to learn directly from an experienced adult mentor or guide.

These guides didn’t just help them hunt—they helped them grow.

They taught safety, patience, respect for the land, and how to be a good steward of the outdoors. They walked side by side with each youth, whether the hunt ended with a harvest or just great memories and new skills.

Success Beyond the Harvest

Yes—we had some successful harvests, and there’s no doubt a few freezers are now stocked with fresh venison. But even for those who didn’t tag out, the stories shared, the sunrises watched, and the connections built were just as rewarding.

Every young hunter left with a deeper appreciation for the outdoors and a stronger connection to a tradition that spans generations.

A Huge Thank You

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible team of guides, volunteers, and families who made this hunt possible.

To the mentors who gave their time, wisdom, and heart—thank you for showing up and making an impact. Your guidance helped shape confident, responsible young hunters, and that’s something that can never be measured in inches of antler.

To the landowners who generously opened their property, and the sponsors who provided gear, food, and support—this event wouldn’t have been possible without you.

And to the parents who trusted us with their kids—we hope they came back with stories, pride, and a spark that keeps them coming back to the woods.

Looking Ahead

As we wrap up this year’s Youth Deer Hunt, we’re already looking ahead to the next. The future of hunting depends on young people getting outside, learning the right way, and falling in love with the experience—not just the outcome.

Thanks again to everyone who made this hunt one to remember.

See you in the woods!
